Senator Monning Issues a Statement in Response to DPR ban on Chlorpyrifos

(SACRAMENTO, CA) – California State Senator Bill Monning (D-Carmel) issued the following statement about the Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) decision to ban the use of chlorpyrifos:

“Today’s action by CalEPA and DPR represents an important step forward to protect the health of children and all rural Californians,” states Senator Bill Monning.  “I want to acknowledge the efforts of the community and public health advocates, as well as the commitment of the Administration to find safer alternatives to chlorpyrifos.”
