Sen. Dodd: Virtual Town Hall on Wildfire Preparedness

SONOMA – Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, will host a virtual town hall April 13 on wildfire preparedness and prevention featuring a panel of experts including the state’s top firefighter, Cal Fire Chief Thom Porter.

The town hall will be broadcast live on KSVY Sonoma Radio/TV and streamed across multiple channels. Panelists will join Sen. Dodd in answering submitted questions and calls from viewers.

Sen. Dodd: March is Problem Gambling Awareness Month

SACRAMENTO – Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, today recognized the month of March as Problem Gambling Awareness Month in an effort to bring attention to gambling addiction and connect people with treatment.

“We must promote a better understanding of problem gambling and prompt people struggling with problem gambling to seek help,” Sen. Dodd said. “Problem gambling is not only an addiction but it’s also a serious public health concern. Awareness and access to services are critical for anyone struggling with addiction, and that includes those facing gambling problems.”

SACRAMENTO – Legislation has advanced from Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, to expand a successful program allowing low-income seniors and people with disabilities to receive care in the safety of their own homes, reducing the risk of coronavirus infection.

“This program protects people who would be most at risk while saving taxpayer dollars that would be spent on outside care,” Sen.
