SACRAMENTO – California Senate Leader Toni Atkins (D-San Diego) issued the following statement in response to today’s announcement regarding the proposed recommendations to the Subcommittee on Sexual Harassment Prevention and Response. The Subcommittee will discuss the recommendations at its upcoming hearing, scheduled for Monday, June 18, 2018:

SACRAMENTO – The fiscal year 2018-19 state budget approved by the Senate this week makes major investments in housing and homelessness throughout California, building on the momentum generated in 2017 with the passage of a landmark package of 15 housing bills.

SACRAMENTO – The California Senate today passed a state budget for the 2018-2019 fiscal year that begins on July 1, 2018.

“We have recovered from the dark days of the recession, and now the state’s fiscal outlook is the strongest it’s been in a generation,” said Senate Leader Toni Atkins (D-San Diego).

SACRAMENTO – California Senate Leader Toni Atkins (D-San Diego) announced today that Senate Democrats have advanced legislation that will extend and enhance California’s successful Film and Television Tax Credit Program. The Senate Appropriations Committee voted 6-0 to move SB 951 as introduced by Senator Holly J. Mitchell (D-Los Angeles). Senator Anthony Portantino (D-La Cañada Flintridge), now a joint author, joined forces to consolidate the efforts to extend the Film and Television Tax Credit program.
