Senator Wieckowski introduces bill to standardize child custody forms

Sacramento – State Senator Bob Wieckowski (D-Fremont) has introduced a new bill to bring more consistency statewide to the laws involving the counselors and evaluators who advise the court on child custody decisions. 
SB 594 was introduced Friday.  It would require the Judicial Council of California to develop a child custody evaluation form by Jan. 1, 2016 to be used by every investigator or evaluator conducting child custody evaluations.

New bill would give more choices to control energy costs, encourage renewable energy

SACRAMENTO – Pointing to how Google and the University of California are already making energy-saving power choices, Sen. Bob Hertzberg today announced introduction of an innovative plan that recognizes how the energy market has changed in the last decade.
“The concept is simple and proven: Give energy users more choices and they’ll have greater control over costs,” Hertzberg, D-Van Nuys, said about Senate Bill 286, which would allow other energy users to reduce energy costs while making California more business friendly and increasing access to renewable energy.
