SACRAMENTO – Legislation advanced today from Sen. Bill Dodd, D-Napa, to get food aid to low-income college students, ensuring the underserved population receives adequate nutrition to fulfill their educational goals.
“Many students today are struggling to make ends meet and put food on the table,” Sen. Dodd said. “My bill addresses chronic hunger, helping more Californians achieve their educational and career goals. It’s no secret that going to college is expensive, but students shouldn’t have to starve to a college education.”
