(OXNARD) Senator Monique Limón (D-Santa Barbara) and Assemblymember Bennett (D-Ventura) presented two checks for a total of $13 million dollars to Ventura County Officials on Wednesday. These investments will be used to create more transitional and permanent supportive housing, and help fund the modernization of the Nyeland Acres Community Center. 

Signal Hill, Calif. – On October 18, 2022 Senator Lena A. Gonzalez (D-Long Beach) presented $5 million in state funds for the renovation and redesign of the Signal Hill outdoor amphitheater. This key infrastructure project will support local artists and provide thousands of local residents with a community hub for art activities, cultural resources, and entertainment.

Maywood, Calif. – On October 12, 2022 Senator Lena A. Gonzalez (D-Long Beach) and Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood) presented $3 million in state funds for the renovation of Maywood Riverfront Park. SAN DIEGO – Senate President pro Tempore Toni G. Atkins (D-San Diego), fellow legislators, and reproductive rights leaders from across the state gathered in San Diego today to celebrate Pro Tem Atkins’ bill, SB 1375 being signed into law, as well as the more than a dozen additional pieces of legislation from the California Legislative Women’s Caucus.
