LONG BEACH, Calif.- California Senator Lena A. Gonzalez, D- Long Beach, applauds Governor Newsom’s commitment to tackle some of the most critical social issues in the state by investing  in homelessness, education, healthcare, and the environment.

SACRAMENTO – California Senate President pro Tempore Toni G. Atkins (D-San Diego), Senator Ben Allen (D-Santa Monica), Senator Anthony Portantino (D-La Cañada-Flintridge) and Senator Henry Stern (D-Canoga Park) issued the following statement in response to Governor Newsom’s inclusion of a climate resiliency bond in his 2020-21 proposed budget:

The Peer Support Specialist Certification Act of 2020 establishes a statewide certification program for peer support specialists and provides the structure needed to maximize the federal match for peer services under Medi-Cal.
