Statement: Local Stakeholders Review Progress on Contamination Site

Chair of the San Gabriel Valley Legislative Caucus Senator Ed Hernandez, O.D. (D-West Covina) released the following statement on the local stakeholder meeting reviewing the progress of the San Gabriel Superfund Site.

“I will not hesitate to do what I can in order to ensure that the San Gabriel Valley’s residents have access to clean and safe drinking water. We can’t afford to let millions of gallons of water go to waste when we have proven methods for safely cleaning it up. Rate payers shouldn’t be burdened by the cost to guarantee the cleanliness of their water.”

SACRAMENTO – Today the California State Senate approved passage of Senate Bill 1010, to provide transparency in drug pricing.

Authored by Senator Ed Hernandez, O.D. (West Covina) and approved by a bipartisan vote of 24-8, SB 1010 provides information on drug prices, a first step towards more affordable and accessible prescription drugs for Californians.
