Baldwin Park, CA — State Senator Susan Rubio hosted the first WINGS Seminar of the year — Women Inspiring the Next Generation of Sisterhood, bringing together more than 60 young women from across the community for a day focused on leadership, mentorship, and empowerment.
The WINGS Seminar was created by Senator Rubio to help young women build confidence, develop leadership skills, and connect with mentors who can guide them as they pursue their goals.

Tonight’s State of the Union was misleading and does not reflect the reality of what families are facing.
The President missed the mark! He failed to address the rising costs, economic instability, and uncertainty caused by tariffs, federal cuts to healthcare, education, food assistance, and other essential programs.

“Transparency and accountability are foundational to public trust,” said Senator Rubio. “SB 1175 modernizes our lobbying disclosure system, eliminates unnecessary delays, and ensures Californians have clear and timely information about who is advocating before their government. Good governance requires systems that are efficient, transparent, and responsive.”
The bill is sponsored by California Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber, Ph.D., who stated, “This measure will allow lobbyists to file their registrations directly with my office, providing a more direct and hopefully more convenient process. We expect it to lead to more efficient and timely processing of lobbyist registrations.”
