SACRAMENTO – State Sen. Jerry McNerney, D-Pleasanton, has selected Three Valleys Community Foundation as Nonprofit of the Year for Senate District 5.
Three Valleys Community Foundation (3VCF), based in Pleasanton, is a community-driven philanthropic organization dedicated to improving quality of life across the Tri-Valley region.

SACRAMENTO – The California Senate Elections and Constitutional Amendments Committee today unanimously approved Sen. Jerry McNerney’s campaign finance reform legislation, SB 900.
SB 900, the Print Ads DISCLOSE Act, would update and strengthen California’s campaign disclosure rules to provide more transparency and clarity regarding who is paying for political advertisements.

SACRAMENTO – State Sen. Jerry McNerney, D-Pleasanton, today announced new legislation – SB 1406 – that would close the so-called “Montana Loophole,” which costs California approximately $20 million a year in lost tax revenue.
SB 1406 would strengthen state law by barring tax scams in which California residents create an out-of-state shell company to buy exotic luxury cars or recreational vehicles in Montana to avoid paying California sales taxes and vehicle license fees.
