Senator Anna M. Caballero (D-Merced) announced today that SB 490: The Buy American Food Act passed the legislative process and is now on its way to the Governor for a signature. Senate Bill 490 would improve the quality and safety of state-provided nutrition programs, protect California workers, and reward California’s agricultural industry by strengthening federal Buy American policy at the state level.

The decision to have an abortion can be a difficult, heart-wrenching choice, and one not made lightly—but with the advice of medical personnel and trusted friends and family. The government should have no right to interfere or intervene. It is a personal, constitutional right.
