SACRAMENTO – Senator Bill Dodd (D-Napa) introduced a bill to bolster the state’s efforts to prevent drunk driving. The bill would increase the reach of the California Highway Patrol’s Designated Driver Program, which provides education and outreach to help prevent drunk driving.

SACRAMENTO – Senator Bill Dodd (D-Napa) introduced a bill to provide universal preschool to all four year olds in the state of California.

Senator Dodd calls on Congress to extend CHIP

SACRAMENTO – Senator Bill Dodd (D-Napa) introduced a joint resolution this week calling on Congress to authorize a long-term extension of the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). The program provides insurance to 1.3 million California children and is set to expire by March.

Delta Legislators to hold Town Hall in Walnut Grove

SACRAMENTO – Senator Bill Dodd (D-Napa) and Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Discovery Bay) will hold a town hall on Thursday, Nov. 30 to examine the proposed WaterFix project and discuss related concerns, including recent findings by the State Auditor. The town hall will be held at the Jean Harvie Community Center, 14273 River Road, in Walnut Grove, from 10 am. to noon. Members of the public are invited to attend.

**Emergency Alert** Napa & Sonoma County Fire Evacuations

Dear Neighbor,

This morning, Governor Brown issued an emergency proclamation for Napa and Sonoma Counties due to the effects of multiple fires, including the Tubbs and Atlas fires, which have damaged critical infrastructure, threatened thousands of homes and caused the evacuation of residents.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by the fires. Like so many of our neighbors, I was forced to evacuate my home this morning, and I will be monitoring the status of these fires closely.
