(SACRAMENTO, CA)– On a bipartisan, 7-1 vote late Monday, the Assembly Committee on Natural Resources approved a measure by Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis) to promote the protection and management of natural and working lands as part of California’s ongoing efforts to meet its climate change goals.

SACRAMENTO–State Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis) issued the following statement today on yesterday’s ruling by the Sacramento Superior Court that the Delta Stewardship Council’s Delta Plan, the state’s management plan for the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, is “invalid and must be set aside pending revisions.”

Current legislation to aid veterans nears Governor’s desk
SACRAMENTO– Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis) was honored Friday by residents of the Veterans’ Home in Yountville for her work to reverse a 2009-10 budget action that resulted in non-veteran spouses having to pay up to 90 percent of their income to live with their husband or wife at a state veterans’ home.
