(SACRAMENTO) – Today, the Senate Transportation Committee made a special exemption to a longstanding rule and unanimously supported Senator Richard D. Roth’s resolution to rename the 60-91-215 Interchange the Joseph Tavaglione Interchange.

Gov. Jerry Brown today in San Francisco signed Senator Richard Roth’s Senate Bill 540, one of the measures in a package of legislation to address the state’s housing crisis by lowering housing costs and spurring construction. SB 540 received bipartisan support from the Legislature.

Senator Richard D. Roth’s (D-Riverside) measure to address the State’s housing crisis has been approved by the California State Senate and sent to Governor Jerry Brown. Senate Bill 540, which is part of a bipartisan package of bills aimed at lowering housing costs and spurring housing construction, was approved on a bipartisan vote of 29-7.

Senator Richard D. Roth (D-Riverside) issued the following statement on his support of Assembly Bills 398 and 617:

Senator Richard D. Roth’s (D-Riverside) measure to address the State’s housing crisis has been approved by the Assembly Local Government Committee on a bipartisan, unanimous vote of 9-0.

(SACRAMENTO) – Today, Senate Bill 130, which restores critical funding for the newly incorporated cities of Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, Menifee and Wildomar, was approved by the California State Assembly on a bipartisan vote of 72-1.

Each of these cities incorporated prior to the passage of Senate Bill 89 (2011), which was one of the steps the Legislature took to close the State’s massive budget gap. SB 89 resulted in cities which had incorporated after 2004 losing critical public safety and municipal services funding that had previously been allocated to newly incorporated cities.

(SACRAMENTO) – Senate Bill 130, which restores critical funding for the newly incorporated cities of Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, Menifee and Wildomar, has been approved by the California State Senate on a bipartisan vote of 34-0.

Senator Richard D. Roth’s (D-Riverside) measure to address the State’s housing crisis has been approved by the Senate Environmental Quality Committee on a bipartisan vote of 6-0.
