Senator Hernandez renews his commitment for Californians to have access to affordable prescription drugs

SACRAMENTO – Today, Senator Dr. Ed Hernandez (D-West Covina) introduced Senate Bill 17 to renew his efforts to shine a light on rising drug prices in California.  

Sacramento, CA – On a unanimous vote, Senator Ben Allen (D – Santa Monica) was selected as the Vice-Chair of the California Legislative Jewish Caucus at a gathering of Caucus members in San Francisco today.  Allen is beginning his third year representing the Westside, Hollywood and South Bay of Los Angeles in the California State Senate.

Fremont – State Senator Bob Wieckowski will co-host a Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) workshop on the California Competes Tax Credit.  Small, medium and large businesses are encouraged to attend to receive instructions on how to apply for this tax credit.

CAMPBELL -- Senator Jim Beall, D-San Jose, chairman of the Senate Transportation and Housing Committee, issues this statement regarding the closing of the 1st Extraordinary Session:

Chair of the Senate Health Committee and key proponent of Affordable Care Act (ACA) implementation in California, Senator Dr. Ed Hernandez will present at the Covered CA Board Meeting on Thursday, November 17.

Senator Hernandez (D-West Covina) will emphasize the need to protect health care reforms made under the ACA in the state, citing that more than 3.2 million Californians, who otherwise would be left without insurance, have access to health care because of this law.
