SACRAMENTO–Today a panel of experts discussed unanswered questions about the massive Delta Tunnels proposal in an attempt to determine whether the proposal is good for California during an informational hearing of the Senate Select Committee on the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, chaired by State Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis).

SACRAMENTO – Late Friday the Governor signed into law Senate Bill 65, legislation by Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis) changing an outdated labeling law that enabled olive oils to say they were produced in California, or a region of California.

Wolk bills improve water management, conserve valuable water supplies
SACRAMENTO – Three bills by Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis) focused on saving water passed out of the Assembly Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee today.
Wolk’s Senate Bill 7 requires the installation of submeters in new multifamily residential buildings, encouraging responsible water consumption and conservation by providing residents accurate information about the volume and cost of their water usage.

SACRAMENTO—A California nonprofit dedicated to supporting family farms honored Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis) recently for her support of family farmers and sustainable agriculture.
The Community Alliance with Family Farmers (CAFF) presented Wolk its “Hands on Legislator of the Year Award” at a dinner in Davis last Saturday in recognition of “her hands on efforts to support family farmers and climate friendly farming” and her authorship of Senate Bill 367, the Agriculture Climate Benefits Act.

Bill naming Solano interchange for WW II pilot earns unanimous, bipartisan support 
 
SACRAMENTO— The State Assembly’s Transportation Committee voted unanimously today to approve a resolution by Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis) naming a Solano interchange in honor of Lieutenant Colonel James Warren, one of the original Tuskegee Airmen and a Vacaville resident who passed away last year.
