Governor signs aid-in-dying legislation

(SACRAMENTO, CA) – Today, Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis) praised the Governor for his signing of Assembly Bill X2-15, the End of Life Option Act.
This decision by the Governor comes almost a year after the death of Brittany Maynard. The 29-year-old Californian with terminal brain cancer brought international attention to this issue when she had to move to Oregon to utilize its death-with-dignity law last year.

Brown Jr. signed legislation by Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis) to help control concealed weapons on school and college campuses.  The measure, SB 707, prohibits concealed weapons carriers from bringing their firearm on campus without permission from campus authorities.
