Program supports renewable energy generation by farms, ranches & schools

SACRAMENTO –A bipartisan group of 23 legislators, led by State Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis), urged the California Public Utilities Commission (PUC) today to shelve a proposal to eliminate a program allowing energy customers with multiple energy meters to contribute renewable energy to the grid.

VACAVILLE –A Solano publication for active seniors honored Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis) yesterday for her efforts to protect and defend seniors, including her work on the End of Life Options Act.
Prime Time Living Magazine presented Wolk with its Prime Time Heroes Award at a dinner in Fairfield for her “significant contributions to the efforts of seniors in the community.”

(SACRAMENTO, CA) – Today, Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis) praised the Governor for his signing of Assembly Bill X2-15, the End of Life Option Act.
This decision by the Governor comes almost a year after the death of Brittany Maynard. The 29-year-old Californian with terminal brain cancer brought international attention to this issue when she had to move to Oregon to utilize its death-with-dignity law last year.

 
Wolk bill sets stage for statewide digital registry of vital medical orders

Brown Jr. signed into law legislation by Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis) to establish a pilot project enabling health care providers to electronically submit and access their patients’ instructions for their end-of-life health care, ensuring immediate access to this critical information.

Bills improve water management & conservation, increase use of renewable energy programs

Brown Jr. signed into law a measure by Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis) to improve water management and conservation in California, and another bill to boost participation in programs enabling utility customers to receive part of their electricity from renewable energy sources.

Brown Jr. signed legislation by Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis) to help control concealed weapons on school and college campuses.  The measure, SB 707, prohibits concealed weapons carriers from bringing their firearm on campus without permission from campus authorities.
