SACRAMENTO – Having now represented the Los Angeles community of Little Armenia in the Legislature for a decade, Senate President pro Tempore Kevin de León said it is only natural that he becomes the first Senator to join the California Armenian Legislative Caucus.

Sen. Leno’s Healthcare Cost Transparency Bill Goes to Governor’s Desk

SACRAMENTO – A bill that protects large employers and their workers from unfair healthcare premiums is headed to the desk of Governor Jerry Brown. Senate Bill 546, authored by Senator Mark Leno, improves transparency in the large group healthcare market by requiring insurance providers to disclose the factors used in increasing their rates. The bill passed the Assembly yesterday with bipartisan support.
