Authored by Senator Ed Hernandez, O.D., (D-West Covina) and approved by a vote of 44-20*, Senate Bill 1152 addresses a practice known as “patient dumping” where homeless patients are discharged under unsafe conditions.

SACRAMENTO – The author and co-sponsors of California’s landmark law, Senate Bill 17, sent a letter today to pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly in regards to its newly created “Diabetes Solution Center.” This drug corporation, one of the makers of insulin, is opening a helpline claiming to assist people who can’t afford their needed insulin.
