Sacramento, CA - Senate Bill 457, authored by State Senator Anthony J. Portantino (D – La Cañada Flintridge) creates a rebate program for each person without a car in a household.  It is currently awaiting action in the Assembly.  The bill is aimed at reducing California’s dependence on cars, providing more incentives for walking and bicycling, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Sacramento, CA – Senate Bill 851, a measure authored by Senator Anthony J. Portantino (D – La Cañada Flintridge) that strengthens and expands financial support for low-income college students at independent, nonprofit California colleges and universities, passed the Senate Floor today. 

Sacramento, CA - Senate Bill 1079, a measure introduced by State Senator Anthony J. Portantino (D – La Cañada Flintridge) to monitor noise pollution by using sound activated devices, passed the Senate Floor today.  Streets for All, a nonprofit organization that advocates for street safety, is a sponsor of the measure.

Sacramento, CA – Senate Bill 1016, authored by State Senator Anthony J. Portantino (D – La Cañada Flintridge) passed the Senate Floor. The measure would enhance special education services for individuals with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). 

Sacramento, CA – Senate Bill 1302, a measure authored by State Senator Anthony J. Portantino (D – La Cañada Flintridge) will provide grants to high schools to establish or improve wellness and mental health support centers on campus.  It passed the Senate Floor with bi-partisan support today.

Sacramento, CA - Senate Bill 1116, a measure introduced by Senator Anthony J. Portantino (D – La Cañada Flintridge) which creates a payroll fund to support small nonprofit performing arts venues (SNPAOs), passed the Senate Floor.

Portantino (D – La Cañada Flintridge) which addresses the delay and absence of live-saving treatments for cancer patients, passed the Senate Floor.  The measure expands health care coverage for diagnostic breast imaging following an abnormal mammography.
