Senator Roth’s Proposal to Fix State’s Judge Shortage Passes State Assembly

Senate Bill 229 was approved by the Assembly this morning on a bipartisan vote of 69-0 and, if signed by the Governor, will mark the first time in nearly a decade that the State of California has funded new judges in the wake of an ongoing judge shortage.The California State Assembly has voted unanimously to approve Senator Richard D. Roth’s (D-Riverside) proposal to fix California’s judge shortage.

Senator Roth’s Proposal to Restore Funding to Riverside County’s Newest Cities Passes State Assembly

Senator Richard D. Roth’s (D-Riverside) fight to save Riverside County’s four newest cities moved forward today as Senate Bill 25, his proposal to restore funding to those cities, passed the State Assembly on a bipartisan, unanimous vote of 70-0.

Senator Roth said, “Restoring funding to Riverside County’s four newest cities has been one of my highest priorities in the state Senate.  These cities lost funding through no fault of their own, and SB 25 is a critical measure that will ensure our region receives its fair share from Sacramento.”

Senator Richard D. Roth’s (D-Riverside) proposal to honor the lives and service of three local Medal of Honor recipients passed the California State Assembly on a bipartisan vote of 79-0.

Senate Concurrent Resolution 38 designates the portion of State Highway Route 91 in Riverside from Madison Street to 3rd Street as the “Staff Sergeant Salvador J. Lara, Staff Sergeant Ysmael R. Villegas and Sergeant Jesus S. Duran Memorial Highway.”
