SB X2-5, Authored by Senator Leno, Prohibits Smoking of E-Cigarettes at Workplaces, Schools, Restaurants and Hospitals

SACRAMENTO – Schools, economists and job creators are speaking up about the benefits California communities are seeing sixteen months after Proposition 39 Projects have started. Over three years, Prop 39 has brought a total of $2.35 billion in revenue back to California that would otherwise have been pocketed by out-of-state corporations. Discussion focused on unanswered questions on proposal’s cost, alternatives, and more
SACRAMENTO–Today a panel of experts discussed unanswered questions about the massive Delta Tunnels proposal in an attempt to determine whether the proposal is good for California during an informational hearing of the Senate Select Committee on the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, chaired by State Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis).

(SACRAMENTO, CA) – Today, Senator Bill Monning (D-Carmel) reintroduced End of Life Option Act legislation in the Extraordinary Session.  Modeled after Senator Monning’s original legislation, Senate Bill (SB) 128, this new bill will continue the effort to enact an aid-in-dying in California this year.

Bill to aid affected residents, businesses earns unanimous, bipartisan support 
SACRAMENTO—The State Senate voted unanimously today to send the Governor legislation coauthored by Senator Lois Wolk (D-Davis) and Assemblymember Bill Dodd (D-Napa) to aid residents and businesses in Napa, Solano, and Sonoma Counties affected by the August 24, 2014 South Napa Earthquake.
