SACRAMENTO, CA – Senator Angelique V. Ashby (D-Sacramento) released the following statement after her bill, SB 314 was signed by Governor Newsom.

SACRAMENTO, CA – Senator Angelique Ashby (D-Sacramento) thanks Governor Newsom for signing a budget agreement that, amongst other things, includes $25 million ongoing to make debt free college a reality for foster youth, $55 million retained for local water projects, and over $10 million for Senate District 8 priorities.

(The announcement comes as Ashby’s legislative effort through SB 307 has moved into SB 117 of the California State Budget.)

Ashby (D-Sacramento) released the following statement after her bill SB 788—Parity in Cider and Perry Manufacturing—passed the Assembly Governmental Organization Committee with bipartisan support. SB 788 creates parity in the production of beer, cider, and perry across both large and small manufacturers by allowing craft brewers to produce cider and perry with just their beer license.
