USDA Increases Support for Fight Against Invasive Aquatic Plants in Delta

 

A partnership of county, state, and federal agencies, as well as allied boating and water resource protection interests, to improve control of invasive aquatic plants in the Delta has led to $1 million in new funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS), Areawide Pest Management Program, county and state officials announced this week.

CALTRANS TO BEGIN $9 MILLION DOLLAR PAVEMENT REHABILITATION
AND REPAIR PROJECT ON STATE ROUTE 12
IN SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will begin a $9 million dollar pavement rehabilitation and repair project on State Route 12 (SR-12). This project will improve the driving surface from the Potato Slough Bridge to Flag City. The project will replace rumble strips, re-construct guardrails and apply an asphalt concrete overlay to the roadway.

Mitchell (D-Los Angeles) for California’s middle and high school districts to put in place fair and transparent measures to ensure that students may take the highest level of mathematics courses for which they can qualify has won the right for a full debate and vote on the floor of the State Senate. Authored by Senator Holly J. Mitchell (D-Los Angeles), SB 359 was unanimously approved by the Senate Appropriations Committee, the final hurtle before being taken up by the entire Senate.
