Senator Roth’s Measure Honoring Medal of Honor Recipients Approved on Bipartisan, Unanimous Vote

Senator Richard D. Roth’s (D-Riverside) measure to honor the lives and service of three local Medal of Honor recipients passed the Senate Transportation and Housing Committee today on a bipartisan, unanimous vote.

Senate Concurrent Resolution 38 designates the portion of State Highway Route 91 in Riverside from Madison Street to 3rd Street as the “Staff Sergeant Salvador J. Lara, Staff Sergeant Ysmael R. Villegas and Sergeant Jesus S. Duran Memorial Highway.”

(SACRAMENTO, CA)  - Senator Bill Monning (D-Carmel) is pleased to announce that the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) awarded a $2,996,768 grant to the Elkhorn Slough Foundation.

Elkhorn Slough’s Blue Carbon project will increase regional carbon sequestration through salt marsh restoration.

SACRAMENTO – A bill by State Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson (D-Santa Barbara) that would prohibit drones from trespassing on private property without the owner’s permission and invading Californians’ privacy just passed off the Senate floor on a bipartisan vote. The vote was 24-9.
